However, its also dangerous to do so remotely Anybody out there have any information???? If the internet dies, the car dies, or anything happens to the connection for a moment, you can brick the head unit and it will really cost you.
The remote software upgrade option isn't showing up or working for me, likely due to the older software version i'm on Does anyone know where i can download the update files to install manually? Idrive reads the tags in the song files, so you need to be sure the tags in the files are correct I just bought a 2023 540i and noticed that occasionally i don't have access to real time traffic information
Turning off the engine and restarting fixes it Is anybody else seeing this issue I am guessing this is a software issue I read through the threads that doing idrive reset fixes.
My ccc died a few weeks back and i ended up shipping the unit off to be fixed And it is working now So the question is how much of an advantage is it to mirror to the idrive screen vs Just using the device screen itself
The strongest arguments are that the idrive is bigger so it provides a better viewing experience and mirroring uses the car's speakers so that's also desirable.
